Account & Setup
Q1 – Q10TradingView is a web-based charting and social platform for traders. It provides real-time data, 100+ technical indicators, 15 chart types, 90+ drawing tools, and a social community. It is NOT a broker — it connects to brokers like Investrade for trading.
Yes, TradingView offers a free Basic plan with 1 chart, 3 indicators, and 5 alerts. Paid plans (Essential, Plus, Premium) unlock more charts, indicators, and alerts. A free account is all you need to access the Investrade closed beta.
Go to tradingview.com > Click ‘Get started’ > Sign up with your company email (Google SSO recommended for fastest setup). Set a strong password and enable 2FA for security.
Open any chart > Click ‘Trading Panel’ tab at bottom > Select ‘Investrade’ from broker list > Enter your Investrade username and password (NOT your TradingView login) > Click ‘Connect’.
TradingView login is for the charting platform itself. Broker login (Investrade credentials) is for placing real trades. They are separate accounts with separate credentials. Never share either set of credentials.
Step 1: Open Trading Panel at the bottom of any chart and select Investrade. Step 2: Enter your Investrade trading credentials (not TradingView login). Contact IT if you don’t have broker credentials. Paper Trading is also available for practice.
Profile icon > Settings > Security > Enable 2FA. Choose authenticator app (recommended) or SMS. This protects your account from unauthorized access — required for all trade desk staff.
Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Always use the latest version for best performance. The TradingView desktop app is also available for better multi-monitor support and performance.
Yes, TradingView has iOS and Android apps with real-time sync to your web account. Charts, watchlists, and alerts sync automatically. Mobile apps are great for monitoring but the desktop experience is recommended for order entry.
Download from tradingview.com/desktop. The desktop app offers better performance, native multi-monitor support, and system-level notifications. Sign in with the same TradingView credentials — all your layouts and settings sync automatically.
